Louisiana students have several options to pay for their education, and some may cover the full cost!
The Louisiana GATOR Scholarship Program (ESA)
The Louisiana Giving All True Opportunity to Rise (LA GATOR) Scholarship Program provides eligible families with education scholarship accounts (ESAs). These accounts allow families to personalize their child’s education by using state funds for approved education expenses, such as nonpublic school tuition.
Eligibility:
- Louisiana students 5 – 21 years old by September 30, 2026
- Meet one of the following:

Is a returning LA GATOR Scholarship Program recipient who was approved and funded in 2025-2026 or was a Louisiana Scholarship Program (LSP) participant during the 2024-2025 school year
- Was enrolled in a public school on both October 1 and February 1 of the 2025–2026 school year
- Comes from a household with income at or below 250% of the federal poverty level

Cost to you:
A Louisiana ESA would fully fund tuition at Smart Schools.
Louisiana Standard Enrollment
If ineligible for the other funding options, students may enroll with Smart Schools and pay on their own. We believe education should be affordable for everyone. That’s why we do our best to keep our prices as low as possible.
